What are the offshore container sizes?
ELA Offshore accommodation containers are available in two sizes, as 20 feet or 33 feet offshore containers. They are suitable for different offshore facilities and are designed for use, for example, as living quarters, lounges, kitchens, sanitary facilities or offices. ELA Offshore Containers meet all requirements for the accommodation and working of offshore crews.
What is the size and weight of 20 feet offshore container?
Our 20 feet accommodation containers have the dimensions 6058 mm x 2438 mm x 2896 mm (L x W x H). The interior height is 2450 mm. The tare weight for our 20ft ELA Offshore Allrounder is 7.7 t and for our 20ft ELA Offshore Light 4 t. The low tare weight of the ELA Offshore Light Containers makes this modified container variant the ideal solution for onshore and nearshore use, e.g. on pontoons and barges. The MGW (maximum gross weight) is 8.2 t for 20 feet offshore accommodation containers.
What are the dimensions of 33 feet offshore containers?
With a length of 1000 mm, a width of 3000 mm and a height of 2896 mm, our 33ft ELA Offshore Premium Plus Container with integrated corridor offers sufficient space for use within complex container systems or as a single container in which up to two different room solutions can be implemented. The inside height of 2450 mm creates a generous feeling of space in the 33ft container. The tare weight is 9 t with a MGW (maximum gross weight) of 9.5 t.
What space solutions can I realize with ELA Offshore Containers?
Our standard offshore modules are multipurpose containers that can be equipped with specific interior fittings and equipment to create numerous room solutions. The equipment variants include living quarters with sleeping cabins, offices, meeting and changing rooms, kitchens and even fitness rooms. All ELA Offshore containers can be used as single containers or combined into larger facilities with up to four floors using gangways and stairs. For specific room layouts, such as larger dining rooms for supplying the offshore crew, individual walls can also be removed during production. Two containers can then be connected to create a double room.
What are the options for customization of offshore containers?
In principle, we can realize any customer request. Specific room layouts, additional windows or doors, special dimensions or equipment requests - if you decide to buy we manufacture your offshore accommodation containers according to the individual needs of your offshore crew.
What is the basic equipment of offshore accommodation containers?
ELA Offshore multipurpose containers are basically equipped with insulation, which enables a comfortable room climate despite severe weather conditions at sea and in ports. An integrated HVAC system for heating and cooling (outside temperature: -20° to +40 °C) allows the room temperature to be regulated as desired.
In addition, all important power and internet connections are installed and LED light panels on the ceiling ensure that the containers are brightly lit throughout.
With the help of the already integrated ELA connection box, each container can be connected to the existing ship or platform system. All important connections, such as the main electrical plug (400 V), PA/GA connections, emergency stop button, the air-conditioning unit and the fresh water and waste water pipes (if the container has a sanitary section) are centrally contained in it.
What certifications do offshore accommodation containers meet?
Our ELA Offshore multipurpose containers meet all certifications required for their specific application. Our 20ft ELA Offshore Allrounder and 33ft ELA Offshore Premium Plus containers are specially designed for offshore use on ships, barges and platforms. The 20ft ELA Offshore Allrounder is manufactured according to ISO 10855 / EN 12079-1 / DNV 2.7-1 and has CSC certification for international transport, while the 33ft ELA Offshore Premium-Plus meets DNV 2.7-3.
As our container type 20ft ELA Offshore Light is not designed for offshore use, but is used in nearshore and onshore applications, it only has CSC certification for international transport.
What are the options to rent or buy?
There is a rental or purchase option for all ELA Offshore containers. You can rent 20 feet offshore containers for a short or long period of time or choose to buy the containers. We offer our largest container type, the 33ft ELA Offshore Premium Plus container, for long-term rental (more than six months) or purchase. Usually our customers decide to purchase the offshore containers when they have a minimum usage period of two years. If you decide to buy, we can realize 100% customized container accommodations for offshore use.
